Some of the things we did -

24th June 2018 - We appeared centre stage at the Bletchingley Villlage Fair and had a lovely afternoon in the sun. Always nice to be well received by your home crowd.

27th March 2018 - Our friends from Caterham Community Choir came to visit which gave us a full house for the end of term with a powerful performance of new and old material alike.

28th March 2017 - For out final gathering of the Spring Term, we were guests of our friends at the Caterham Community Choir based at deStafford School. We had a great time with them discovering new songs and bathing in the massed sound.

24th November 2016 - The choir performed a broad selection of Christmas songs at Haskins Garden Centre in Copthorne. A great turnout and a fun performance, with funds raised being donated to research into finding cures for Alzheimers and Pancreatic Cancer. The team at Haskins were so impressed they invited us back to perform again next week.

19th November 2016 - The choir were  invited to perform at St Mary's church Reigate in support of their Christmas market. We were made most welcome and got off to a great start for our season of festive performances.

September - October 2016 - Various members of the choir branched out into "AmDram" in support of Dante or Die's production - TAKE ON ME. Performances were held in sports centres across north Surrey over a 7 week period. Members of the choir dressed up (or down) to support the finale in the swimming pool to rapturous applause.

1 October 2016 - Members of the choir joined "All Aloud" at their home in Leatherhead to take part in a workshop lead by Anna Tabbush. Lovely to meet up with old friends again and great fun.

19 July 2016 - The Summer term finished with a celebratory drink following a "bring a friend" session. Lovely to sit in the warm summer air and chat over a refreshing drink.

11 June 2016 - A Concert ‘For the Village by the Village’ to mark the Queen’s 90th
birthday in St Mary's Church Bletchingley. The choir performed the
finale, closing the show in style.

14th May 2016 - The choir took part in the "Three Counties Community Choir Festival" in Edenbridge. As one of the seven community choirs participating form Kent, Surrey and East Sussex, we performed our set to an audience of over 200 and joined together in a massed choir finale, performing Verdi's Va Pensiero. We helped raise £1300 for charity and absolutely loved it. The video's are now available on the video page of the website - see how we did......

13th June 2015 - The choir supported the "Magna Carta" celebration concert at St Mary's church in Bletchingley by performing excerpts from the "Freedom Game".

12th May 2015 Without doubt, our greatest performance to date and the culmination of months of work from all involved....

We joined groups from schools and choirs all over Surrey to perform a new community opera at the Royal Albert Hall. ‘Magna Carta – The Freedom Game’ was commissioned by Surrey Arts to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta in Surrey. ‘Magna Carta – The Freedom Game’ was composed by Hannah Conway, with words by Sir Richard Stilgoe and directed by Karen Gillingham.

For many it was the opportunity of  lifetime. On the day, the time and effort felt well spent as the performance won a standing ovation from the audience of thousands. Everyone had their own doubts and worries but oh the feeling as the final notes rang out and the balloons fell.

16th December 2014 - The Choir was out on show, entertaining the assembled masses at the Red Lion in Bletchingley with a Christmas themed performance. A full house in the pub with 3 sets, 2 raffles and a great buffet. We raised over £500 for local charities. Well done to all who took part and many thanks to those involved in the organisation for all their hard work.

6th December 2014 - St Nicholas church Godstone invited us back to support their Christmas tree festival. Once again this was great fun and the acoustics in the church made us sound even better. The enthusiastic crowd gave us warm applause and made the performance a real joy.

21st October 2014 - Caterham Choir joined us for the evening. Always fun to sing with new faces and the combined choir had real power - a lively evening of fun and learning.

5th July2014
- For the second year running, the choir took part in the Annual Summer Concert at St John's Church, Blindley Heath. One or two concerns in rehearsal evaporated as we took to the stage to produce the finale. Following on from some stunning performances, we had the whole congregation with us as we closed the show. There was a notable buzz running through the choir as we tucked into some stunning post show delights. Well done all concerned.

17th December 2013
- Christmas carols at the Bletchingley war memorial with mulled wine and mince pies. We didn't let the drizzle put us off - what would Good King Wenceslas have said !
Afterwards over to the Whyte Harte for our final performance of 2013. Well received by the local crowd and topped of with a special rendition of "Thank you for the music" (much to Philippa's embarrassment!)

3rd December 2013 -
a select group performed to an audience of 50 at the Bluehouse Lane - Christmas event in Oxted. Much appreciated - the audience were so impressed they're considering forming their own choir.

30th November 2013 - Christmas starts here ! We joined the fun at the Christmas Tree Festival at St Nicholas Godstone. What a lovely old church. A good turnout from Choir and locals alike ensured the church rang with song. The 25 minute set ran to 30 minutes with the surprise addition of Jubilate Deo to celebrate the forthcoming birthday of one of the Choir - well received and well done to all.

22nd Octo
ber 2013
- for our half term test we staged a return to The Red Lion in Bletchingley. Looking the part in our purple and black we gave it our all with a selection of the songs we've been working on over the past 6 weeks. Well received and well done to all involved - all we need now is to put the finishing touches to "Something Inside".....

20th July 2013 - the choir performed in the annual summer concert at St John's Church, Blindly Heath. The varied program included an eclectic performance on handbells, together with a number of extremely talented young musicians playing flute, harp, cello and violin.

The choir completed the program singing a medley of folk based and contemporary songs which the audience clearly enjoyed. Looking good in their purple and black, the choir won praise for its professional and confident performance.

30th June 2013 - the sun beamed as we gave the good people of Bletchingley a burst of "Summertime", after which we were joined by children from St Catharines for a collection of shanties. Always nice to perform to a home crowd - especially when it's bolstered by proud parents.

1st June 2013 - what a great time we had at the Edenbridge 3 counties Choir Festival. Choirs from Kent, Sussex and Surrey performed to an audience of around 200 in the splendid setting of St. Peter & St. Paul Parish Church. The standard of the performances was stunning and the crowd were thoroughly impressed. We were last on and at the end of the set, the other choirs joined us in a rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

Well done Jacky & Philippa. Looking forward to our next performance in Blindley Heath.

26th March 2013 - our end of term gig was performed at the cosy back bar of the William IV pub in Bletchingley. The massed crowds seemed to appreciate the polished performance and a good time was had by all.

18th December 2012
- our end of term gig was performed at The Whyte Hart pub in Bletchingley and prior to that we met up with the locals for carol singing by the lit-up tree!

20th July 2012 - Olympic Torch Relay and Big Village Sports Day - Much fun was had by all when we cheered the Olympic Torch along its route when the runners passed through Godstone and Bletchingley on July 20th.  We enjoyed giving a performance at the Big Village Sports Day at Grange Meadow in Bletchingley later that afternoon.
